Ya Kundendu Tushara Hara Dhawala
Ya Shubra Vastra Vruta |
Ya Veena Vara Danda Mandithakaraa
Ya Shweta Padmasana ||

Ya Brahmachyuta Shankar Prabhruthibhi
Devai Sada Vandita |
Samaan Patu Saraswathi Bhagawathi
Ni Shesha Jaadya Paha ||

Saraswathi Namastubhyam |

Vidyarambam Karishyami |
Siddhir Bhavatu Me Sada ||

"She shines like full a moon in a clear sky; She is as pure as morning dew on a green leaf. She wears a white sari (free from contamination), She holds Veena in her two hands (a symbol of music), and Veda (original Hindu scriptures) in other hand (A symbol of knowledge). She sits on a white lotus and is worshiped by Brahma (her husband), Vishnu, Mahesh, and all other gods of the universe. She is full of knowledge and we pray to her for all these things".

"O Goddess Saraswathi; salutations to you, the giver of boons, the one who fulfills desires. I shall begin my studies. May there always be accomplishment for me".
